FINAL THYME TINCTURE BAR ELEMENTS

The Thyme Tincture Bar logo uses two different fonts. The main font being Ratio Modern Italic and the secondary font is Como Regular For the logo I decided to play off of the beautiful italic “h” in the name “Thyme” and create a stylized and flowing thyme herb illustration to compliment the name of the business. The logo was created with the idea of a peaceful bar that serves tincture cocktails for a new and unique experience in mind.

TIncture bottles

The Thyme Tincture Bar’s highlight is their tincture liquor bottles. These bottles are used to create and age the tinctures to Thyme’s perfect standards. The Design of the bottles are both aesthetic and have a purpose. The low wrap around labels allow for the aging process to be well documented and viewed. This is important for the aging process and it allows for the herbs to be the natural showcase of the bottles design.

I created the microsite for Thyme Tincture bar because I believe it is important for a business to have a website for updates and reservations. In the modern era its important for people to be able to research a restaurant and its menu before deciding if they want to visit a specific place. The microsite is clean, simple, and branded for a pleasant and easy user experience.

The Thyme Tincture Bar menu was created to best showcase the drinks and food for the business. It was important to keep the menu small and practical. The cocktail portion of the menu showcases the benefits of the cocktails as well as how they are prepared. This is to help aid the feeling that Thyme is a place for education, health, and wellness.

MENU

variety 4 pack

The variety pack was created because it was important that guests be able to take this experience home with them. Thyme Tincture Bar take home variety packs are the four simple cocktails that can be taken home so the Thyme experience can be continued, even when the guests go home. The packaging also has some educational elements on it to encourage once again the idea of learning what works best for every different person.

When creating the Thyme Tincture Bar brand it was important to give a location and store front to the restaurant. Having an interior and exterior design for the bar makes it feel much more real. Thyme needs to feel like a place people want to go to and learn more about the drinks and food. A clean and open bar mock up can help accomplish that feeling.

Adults are always looking for ways to enjoy their down time, and unwind. The go to solution for many people can be spending a night at a favorite bar or restaurant. Many people are used to the same old expected experience from most bar restaurants. To combat this issue Thyme Tincture Bar is creating a refreshing, relaxing, and educational option to counter the traditional experience of a night out. Thyme is a cocktail bar and restaurant that evokes the feeling of a modern day apothecary.

project proposal

The bar specializes in tincture cocktails that allow people to learn about the wellness qualities of different herbs, and how they can use them to support elements of health. Many bars and restaurants carry the same traditional cocktails and tend to be very predictable. Thyme takes a different approach when creating their menu to evoke a whole new educational approach when dinning out for a night.

The primary target audience Thyme Tincture Bar is looking for is best described as open-minded and high class. Since the bar restaurant will evoke the feeling of trying something new, people will need to be open to trying new things. The price of Thyme cocktails are set at a medium to high price range to enhance the idea that these drinks are to be savored and enjoyed. Thyme is here to embrace the idea of modest and mindful consumption, centered around learning what works best for everybody.

OBJECTIVES

While conducting my research for Thyme Tincture Bar I wanted to make sure that I had a strong understanding of the benefits of herbs and tinctures. During my research I found that tinctures have been used for centuries to promote elements of health. They have been used to help with gut health, inflammation, and a wide range of other benefits. I also found during my research that some herbs such as lavender and chamomile have soothing and relaxing qualities to them as well. I communicated closely with people I know who have worked in the bar and restaurant industry. I even sat down with an experiences bartender and waitress to help me create my cocktail and food menus. All this research was then taken and implemented into my senior project to create an authentic feeling for Thyme Tincture Bar.

RESEARCH SYNOPSIS

PROCESS WORK

The process work for this project was extensive. I went through various different logo designs to make sure the Thyme Tincture Bar logo was best fit for the brand. When I started on the bottle logos initially I was working with a traditional bottle label. After a few varieties i decided the logos needed to compliment the bottles more. The bottles and herbs are the highlight for the Thyme Tincture Bar brand. I decided to start working with a wrap around bottle label. This wrap around label gave me an amazing opportunity to allow the labels to not fully cover the gorgeous and lively herbs inside of them. The logo and the bottle labels being well processed helped the rest of the branding elements to fall perfectly into place for the Thyme Tincture Bars established brand.
